Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics

The Nebraska Black Doula Collective Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics proves to help our doulas, families and medical practitioners know exactly what doulas do and what doulas do not do.

  • Guidelines include specific information about the doula’s role regarding providing emotional, physical, practical, and informational support.

  • All NBDA doulas sign and agree to adhere to the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.

  • Families and practitioners alike can feel assured that when working with a NBDA doula, they will receive the highest standard of professionalism.
